Harvey Keitel is an American actor who has worked for major directors like Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott and Quentin Tarantino during the course of his prolific 60 year career. After being expelled from school he joined the marines which gave him disciple and when he left he took up acting training with The Actors Studio. His first film role was Who's That Knocking at My Door, one of director Martin Scorsese's earliest films. The pair teamed up again for Mean Streets and set up Scorsese's career. Taxi Driver was a big commercial success for Martin Scorsese as Harvey Keitel and Robert De Niro team up again. It is one of the significant films of the mid 19070's. The Duellists is an historical drama and was Ridley Scott's first feature film. In Bad Timing he plays policeman trying to work out why a girl attempted suicide. Saturn 3 was a move into the Sci-fi genre. He returned to working with Scorsese in The Last Temptation of Christ. His next big film was the policeman in Ridley Scott's Thelma and Louise. His only Oscar nomination came as Best Supporting Actor in Bugsy. Reservoir Dogs was Quentin Tarantino's first major film and he worked with him again in Pulp Fiction and in the vampire film From Dusk Till Dawn. The comedy Little Nicky was a change of genre, being one his few comdy films. He has appeared in a couple of Wes Anderson films including The Grand Budapest Hotel. During his career he has appeared in over 100 films.
