Bridget Fonda is a hardened criminal and drug addict who after killing a policeman is sentenced to death. She is resuced by Gabriel Byrne who recruits her to a clandestine organisation. She is sent undercover as a hit woman, but along the way falls in love with Dermot Mulroney and starts to develop a conscience. There is a good central performance from Bridget Fonda and nice supporting performance from Anne Bancroft as the woman who teaches her style and decorum. This is essentially a remake of the earlier French film La Femme Nikita and the later television series.
