Career / Biography

Herbert Wilcox was a successful producer and director of films from the 1920's through to the 1950's. During his career he produced over 100 films and directed over 50 films. Wolves was the first British all talkie film which he directed and produced. He was involved with a number of production companies including Astra Films, British and Dominions Film Corporation, Herbert-Wilcox Productions, London Films. His third wife was the actress Anna Neagle with whom he worked in a number of films.
