Anna Neagle gives a good performance as a British woman sent undercover by the SOE into France to work with the resistance during the Second World War. She is betrayed, captured by the Gestapo taken to a prison camp and tortured. This is a powerful film made more so as it is based on the real life events of Odette Hallowes.
