Comment/Synopsis

This is fairly faithfull adaptation of the 1728 opera ballard by John Gay of the exploits of a highway man and his female conquests. This was laurence Olivier's only musical and his actual singing voice. Stanley Holloway also provided his own singing voice but the other were dubbed.
