A circus performer (Anna Neagle) meets and falls in love with the son (John Carroll) of a wealthy car dealer. However his family conspire to try and keep them apart. The plot is thin and the musical numbers are not memorable, but the highlight is Anna Neagle bringing her usual charm and elegance in an otherwise largely disappointing film. It is one of the films she made during the short time she spent in Hollywood.
