Christopher Plummer appeared in lots of films during his career, but is probably known best for his role in the Sound Of Music. He played Rudyard Kipling in The Man Who Would Be King. He played Sherlock Holmes on tlelvision and on film in Murder by Decree. Hanover Street was a return to the war genre. Ordeal By Innocence was an adaptation of the Agatha Christie story. In the 2000's he played several real life historical characters including Tolstoy in The Last Station, for which he got a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination. He won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in Beginners. He had another Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for All The Money In The World. At 88 he was olderst actor to have an Oscar nomination.
