A wealthy business man tells his family on his birthday that they will not get any more money or inheritance from him. That night he apparently commits suicide but a private detective is brought in to help the police discover if her was murdered and if so who killed him. Daniel Craig gives a slightly different performance as a French private detective and there is a good performance from Ana de Armas as the innocent nurse caught up in the family rivalry, in this variation on a murder mystery theme. .
