An Australian policeman (Rod Taylor) is sent from the outback of Australia to London to arrest an Austrralian diplomat (Christopher Plummer), who is in the middle of an international conference, for the murder of his first wife. However when he gets to London he finds that there are people who want to kill the diplomat. This is one of those films that has a good cast and a nice idea for the plot, but the execution ends up as uninspiring. Rod Taylor and Christopher Plummer do not seem comfortable in their roles and Lilli Palmer as the wife and Camilla Sparv as the secretary lack the passion needed to make their characters convincing, but this is mainly related to the staid direction of the film.
