Career / Biography

F W Murnau was one of the most influencial film makers of the silent period and particularly the style of German expressionism. His most famous film was Nosferatu an adapttion of Dracula. Shadow of the Vampire was made as a fictional accountof the making of this film. In 1926 he moved to America an worked with Fox studios and also made some sound films.
