Lloyd Bacon directed over 100 films between the 1920s and 1950s including both silent films and sound films. He directed films in variety of different genre, including the musical 42nd Street with Busy Berkley producing the song and dance numbers. Many of these were for Warner Bros. His initial career was as an actor in silent films.
