Ralph Feinnes is a British character actor on stage and film. He was formerly married to Alex Kingston. He studied at RADA and then worked on the stage including at the RSC. his first film role was in Wuthering Heights. Steven Spielberg saw him in this and cast him in Schindler's List. His performance gained him an Oscar nomination as Best Supporting Actor. This was followed by a role in Quiz show. Strange Days was a Katherine Bigelow directed film. It was though his role in The English Patient that was his first big commercial success from director Anthony Minghella. Spider from director David Cronenberg and Red Dragon were both vary dark films whilst Maid In Manhattan was a very light romantic comedy. One of his best known roles was a Lord Voldemort in the Harry Pottter series of films. Alongside these he appeared in films like The Hurt Locker. he both directed and acted in his adaptation of Coriolanus. he had appeared in Shakespeare on the stage but this was his firat screen role. He moved in the James Bond franchise with Skyfall. He then worked with director Wes Anderson in The Grand Budapest Hotel followed that by working with the Coen Brothers in Hail Caesar!.
