Matthew Broderick is an American film actor and is married to Sarah Jessica Parker. He came from a theatrical background in New York. He started his acting career on the Broadway stage where he was seen by Neil Simon and cast in his first film Max Dugan Returns. His film break put role was in WarGames where what he thinks is a video game turns out to be real and turned out to be a big hit. This was followed by the historical fantasy Ladyhawke. It was Ferris Bueller's Day Off that brought his commercial success and a influencial film of the 1980's. Biloxi Blues was based on Neil Simon's stage play and directed by Mike Nicholls. He appeared alongside Sean Connery and Dustin Hoffman in Sydney Lumett's Family Business and held his own against these great actors. Glory tells the story of an all coloured regiment during the American civil war. In the Freshman he appeared opposite Maron Brando.
