A nuclear test creates a giant lizard that somehow ends up in New York, terrorising the population and being chased by the US military. The lizard is laying eggs in a nest under Madison Square Gardens. The plot is fairly predictable and a bit silly in parts, but the effects are reasonable. The quality of this film is summed up in that the best scene is Jean Reno giving an impersonation of Elvis Presley.
