A medieval soldier (Rutger Hauer) and his lover (Michelle Pfeiffer) are put under a curse such that during the day she is a hawk, but human at night and he is human during the day and a wolf at night. A young pickpocket (Matthew Broderick) and an old priest help them to break the curse. A mixture of action, romance and fantasy, that is engaging enough, but fails to deliver its potential given the cast.
