Comment
Georges Melies (Marie Georges Jean Melies) was one the most innovative of the early film makers. He is credited with developing a number of novel techniques, special effects, hand colouring as well as producing some of the earliest sci-fi, fantasy and horror films. Part of his legacy is the way he developed various techniques for filming with the imagination to take film and the audience to places outside of reality.
