Comment/Synopsis

Gone With The Wind is one the classic films. It is the story of Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh) around the time of the American civil war and her relationship with Rhett Butler (Clark Gable). The film won 8 Oscars and was the first colour film to win a Best Picture award. Sidney Howard won Best Screenplay and was the first person to win one posthumously. Hattie McDaniel was the first black person to win an Oscar.
