This is one of the classic black and white horror films of the 1930's with a good and classic performance from Boris Karloff as Frankenstein's monster and well directed by James Whale. This film set the style and tone for many horror films that followed. It was a bigger production than the original Frankenstein and in this film the monster does utter a few words.
