Career / Biography

Gene Tierney was an American actress in films mainly in the 1940's and 1950's after an early career on the stage. Her life and acting career was troubled by bouts of depression. Whilst prgenant with her daughter she contracted German Meales possibly from a fan leading to the daughter having disabilities. This incident was the basis fo the Agatha Christie novel The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side.
