An investigative reporter (Tyrone Power) who has been writing unflattering articles about a rich heiress (Gene Tierney) contrives to meet her by going undercover to write a more positive article about her. When she finds out who he really is, she decides to get her own back by saying that they are married. Despite their animosity and attempts to put each other down a relationship gradually develops despite their attempts to dislike each other. The plot is not great or orriginal, but Tyrone Power and Gene Tierny are entertaining in the lead roles.
