Career / Biography

Anne Revere started her career on the stage and then appeared in films in the 1940's often in maternal style roles. As she had communist sympathies she was black listed by the House Un-American Committee putting an end to her film career. She won one Oscar and was nominated for two others, all for Best Supporting Actress.
