Michael Douglas is a popular actor who is the son of Kirk Douglas and is married to Catherine Zeta-Jones. He started his career on the New York stage and then started appearing on television. His break through as an actor came when he was cast in the television sreies The Streets Of San Francisco. He then produced One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. His first major film role was Coma. He then produced and starred in The China Syndrome. He then moved into romantic comedy with Romancing The Stone which was both a box office and critical success. This was followed by the sequal Jewel Of The Nile. 1987 was a turning point in his career with the release of Fatal Attraction and Wall Street. It was his performance in Wall Street that won him a Best Actor Oscar. Black Rain is the clash of brash American cops and Japanese culture. War Of The Roses is a bleak entertaining comedy. Basic Instinct was a sexual thriller that was controversial for its themes and became a big hit at the box office. In Disclosure he is the victim of sexual harrasment by a woman. American President is a romantic comedy with a great performance and is a great film. After an illness, Behind The Candelabra was a comeback film playing Liberace in a surprising performance from Michael Douglas. Ant-Man was a Marvel Comics film.
