Matthew McConaughey is a womanising photographer who is visited by ghosts of girlfriends past, present and future and the eve of his brothers wedding. He has to re-assess his life and relationship whith Jennifer Garner, who he has known since he was a young child. The plot is not very original and has a very loose connection to Dickens's Christmas Carol. It comes over as a pleasant romantic comedy, with Jennifer Garner giving a good performance a good supporting performances from Michael Douglas as the man Matthew McConaughey has aspired to be and Anne Archer.
