William Beaudine directed films from silent films in the 1920's, into the sound era and then through to the 1960's. He had a reputation for directing films with small budgets and for making them quickly by frequently filming using just one take. He directed a wide range of films including omedies, melodramas and some thrillers. During his career he worked for a wide variety of companies including Hal Roach, Warner Bros, Goldwyn Pictures, Metro Pictures, Fox Films, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures and Monogram Pictures.
