Comment/Synopsis
The chief suspect in a series of murders claims to be a deaf mute, but the witnesses all claim he spoke to them at the time of the murder despite him having an alibi of lots of people seeing him somewhere else at the time of the murder. A policeman and his reporter girlfriend investigate the murders. He thinks he is guilty but she thinks he is innocent. The plot is not great, is predictable and the ending is weak, The highlight is a perky and elegant performance from Joan Woodbury. The plot is basically a remake of The Sphinx from 1933.
