A disgraced army officer (James Mason) is sent to Istanbul to run a tabacco importing business and also act as a spy into a potential revolution whislt being helped by a Russian woman (Valerie Hobson) and his girlfriend (Kay Walsh).This is an entertaining British pre-war spy thriller. James Mason in an early role gets involved in stopping a revolution with the help of Valerie Hobson and Kay Walsh as opposite female characters.
