In the near future the world is all but destroyed by fire breathing dragons. A small band of people including Christian Bale are just managing to survive living in north east England, when a group of Americans (Matthew McConaughy) arrive and help them to kill a dragon. A group of these survivors then travel to a destroyed London to find a way to kill them off all of the dragons. True the plot is full of holes but this is an entertaining dragon slaying fantasy set in a post-apocalyptic world. The mix of live action, CGI and characters make this a good sci-fi fantasy.
