Warren Beatty directs and stars in this film based on the true story of the radical American journalist John Reed. He has an affair with a respectable woman (Diane Keaton) and then goes to Russia with her during the 1917 revolution. They return to America and attempt to propagate these revolutionary ideas. Interesting in that there are interviews with people who lived through the events depicted in the film.
