Comment/Synopsis

Albert Finney is Hercule Poirot who investigates a murder on a train where everyone is a suspect. A star studded version of the Agatha Christie novel. This is a lavish 1970's production that has set the standard for Poiroit films ever since thanks in no small part to the direction of Sidney Lumet. He cast an all star cast to keep the viewer guessing and also gave Albert Finney as slightly different Poiroit. It was an adaptation that Agatha Christie appreciated. It is a beautifully made period drama that is set in a very confined space which has similarities with some of Sidney Lumet's other films. This is one of the best adaptations of Agatha Christie with a great cast.
