This is David Lean's epic story of the life of TE Lawrence, the controversial but charismatic British Officer. There is more to this film than the classic scene of O'Toole riding over a dune on camel. This is a big epic of sand dunes and mixed with more intimate close ups as well as being something of a characetr study. This leads to the central question of the whole movie which is "Who are you?" This was the film that inspired Steven Speilberg to go into movie making.
