A divorced couple (Robert DeNero and Diane Keaton) have to pretend to be still married when their adopted son decides to get married and his birth mother disapproves of divorce. Things are more complicated as the father's new girl friend (Susan Sarandon) is not impressed, his daughter (Amanda Seyfried) is having problems and his son takes a fancy to the adopted son's sister. There is a very good cast, but the script is only OK and lets down the film.
