Career / Biography
Woody Allen wrote and directed a variety of films in the 70's and 80's that reflected a variety of middle class worries and insecurities mainly set in New York. These are studies in relationships rather than dramatic films. He started his career as a comedian doing stand up and on television before becoming a successful film director who also wrote the screenplays for many of his films.
