Comment/Synopsis

A painting tutor to a woman meets a strange woman in white and gets drawn into a web of lies and deceit. The story is loosely based on the Wilkie Collins novel. The film is dominated by the performance of Sydney Greenstreet but Eleanor Parker is a little insipid in the dual lead role.
