During World War 2 a Scottish island runs out of whiskey and by chance a ship runs aground off the island with a large cargo of whisky. The islanders remove as much as they can before it sinks and before the local home guard captain tries to impound the whiskey for the customs men. This is a funny and entertaining film that is loosely based on a true story and a novel by Compton Mackenzie.
