A young woman (Janet Leigh) leaves her home town and heads to broadway to become a star. On the journey she meets three other hopeful women (Ann Miller, Gloria Dehaven, Barbara Lawrence) and once there they meet a singer (Tony Martin) trying to get his career going. They meet an agent who says he can get them a spot on a television show. As with most musicals the plot is thin, but the musical number are good as they were produced by Busby Berkeley. This was Howard Hughes attempt for RKO to create an MGM style musical.
