When her husband (Paul Cavanagh) goes on a business trip to India for a year, the wife (Kay Francis) spends the time in Paris and starts an affair with a Spaniard (Ricordo Cortez). Kay Francis transforms from mousey wife to socialite but gets duped into murder and blackmail. The plot is not great and uneven, though there are a nice couple of twists towards the end. Kay Francis plays her role well, with good support from Ricardo Cortez as the scheming lover, but Paul Cavanagh is very wooden as the husband.
