A naive school teacher is sacked from his job for not showin favoratism to the son of a wealthy family, but is then persuaded to be the figurehead for a brand of water that is not what it seems. John Barrymore gives a good performance as the idealistic man coming up against the murky worlds of politics and business. There is also good support from Myrna Loy as the mistress of the owner of the company, whose common sense and friendship keep John Barrymore trrue to his calling. As this is the 1930's the relationship between the two is ambiguous.
