A small time crook (Peter Ustinov) gets involved with a group of theives to steal a jewel encrusted dagger from a museum in Istanbul whilst also being blackmailed by the police into giving them information about the robbery. This is a great crime caper film with lavish locations, comedy and suspense, topped by an excellent performance from Peter Ustinov. The film was also the inspiration to a number of later heist/caper films.
