A woman (Myrna Loy) marries a man (Warner Baxter) but it is really the best man (Ian Hunter) that loves her. They have their ups and downs through the depression, his affair, a miscarriage and the search for wealth. It is a fairly depressing drama about a marriage that neither party are really committed to. Not the best film that either Myrna Loy or Claire Trevor made.
