When their father decides to marry a gold digger his three daughters set about getting him back together with their mother. Thhis is a fluffy weight romantic comedy but is very entertaining. The plot is obvious but it is engaging and entertaining, helped by the performances of the three young leads. It was nominated for best picture and the start of Deanna Durbin's career. .
