A man (Fredric March) visits his brother (Fredric March) who has inherited the family fortune and business to get a hand out, but the brother dies in the office and so he takes his place. Although he looks the same, he is of a completely different character and he and the secretary (Kay Francis) start to uncover the darker side to the brothers character and business. This is mainly a drama that plays out between Fredric March and Kay Francis with a few light comic moments.
