Comment/Synopsis

A young woman (Teresa Wright) is excited with the arrival of her uncle but then begins to suspect he is the merry widow murderer. Teresa Wright gives a good performance as the young woman coming to terms with realising that her relative is not the wonderful man that she always thought he was. This was directed by Alfred Hitchcock and has many of his trademark shots that make this a good film. It is also one of Joseph Cotten's best performances.
