John Geilgud is sent to Switzerland to kill a German agent where he is helped by Peter Lorre and new spy Madeleine Carroll. However John Geilgud and Madeleine Carroll start to have reservations about the morality of their mission. This is an early Alfred Hitchcock film and not one of his best, but does benefit from good performances from John Geilgud, Peter Lorre and particularly from Madeleine Carroll.
