Comment/Synopsis

A retelling of the Biblical story of Samson and Delilah. This is Cecil B DeMille's epic technicolor version of the sstory of love, revenge and faith. Whilst it does have some faults, Victor Mature and Hedy Lamarr dominate the screen and there are good supporting performances from George Sanders and Angela Lansbury. The costumes are good, but the memorable scenes are the early scene fighting the lion and the final scene as he brings down the temple
