In old Seviille a young woman (Mary Pickford) sings songs of rebellion against the king (Holbrook Blinn) . However the king falls for her, which complicates things as he is married (Irene Rich) and then the king marries her to a man (George Walsh) about to be executed for defending her honour. This is Mary Pickford in a feisty role that has more to it than many of her more frothy comedy roles, and the film is well produced by Ernst Lubitsch.
