Comment
A secretary (Jean Harlow) working for a married man (Chester Morris) seduces him and persuades him to divorce his wife (leila Hyams) and marry her and she then tries to use him to get accepted into society. This is a pre-code Jean Harlow using all her sexuality to manipulate men and worth comparing with the 1936 (post-code) Wife vs Secretary where she plays a similar secretary role. There is good support from Leila Hyams as the first wife and Una Merkel as Jean Harlow's friend. This is an entertaining comedy / drama / romance reflecting some of the morals and social aspirations of the time.
