A young woman is sent to live with two elderly aunts as her family have financial problems. There she has various adventures, tries to help some of the local families and has attention from the local eligible bachelor. Mary Pickford is surprisingly convincing (at 25) as the feisty teenager living in a world that was in the past when the film was made in 1917.
