Jack Nicholson is a hit man for a mafia family who falls in love with Kathleen Turner. However she is also a contrct killer and when they are then ordered to kill each other Jack Nicholson has to decide between love and "The Family". There are excellent performances by Jack Nicholson and Kathleen Turner, with good support from Angelica Huston as Nicholson's spurned lover.
