A mother (Vanessa Redgrave) and daughter (Susan George) run a small seaside hotel and during the quite winter season a man (Cliff Robertson) appears who is the mother's previous lover. As he reigintes the relationship with the mother a relationship starts with the daughter. This is a disappointing film despite the presence of Vanesaa Redgrave and Susan George.
