A couple get married after knowing each other for only a very short time and then go through various trials and tribulations including opposition from his family. There are solid performances from James Stewart and Carole Lombard as the aspiring middle class couple. The film ranges from mundane domestic drama in the Great Depression to a life saving plane flight through a storm.
